Stadler mourns the loss of Board member Dr. Werner Müller
Dr. Werner Müller, former German Minister for Economic Affairs and member of Stadler's Board of Directors, passed away on 15 July 2019 after a long and serious illness. Dr. Werner Müller has been a member of Stadler's Board of Directors since 2003 and has contributed significantly to the success of the company over the past 16 years. Peter Spuhler, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Stadler are deeply saddened.
Dr. Werner Müller died on 15 July 2019 at the age of 74 after a long and serious illness. The former German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy had been a member of Stadler's Board of Directors since 2003. Until the end of May 2018, Müller was also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Evonik Industries AG and Chairman of the Executive Board of the RAG Foundation, which has held a stake in Stadler since 2014. He was also a member of the supervisory board of the German football club Borussia Dortmund.
Stadler's Board of Directors will remain in its current composition until the 2020 Annual General Meeting. At the Annual General Meeting in April 2019, Barbara Egger-Jenzer, former state councilor and head of the building, transport and energy authority of the canton of Berne, was elected to the Board of Directors as the newest member.
