At the end of 2019, Aargau Verkehr AG (AVA) ordered eight multi-articulated 100 per cent low-floor light rail vehicles from Stadler’s range of TRAMLINK products.

Designed to AVA requirements, the state-of-the-art seven-section multi-system TRAMLINK vehicles promote safety, comfort and sustainability, and are fully accessible. The bidirectional metre-gauge vehicles offer spacious, bright and barrier-free passenger compartments with wide gangways, low flooring and several multifunctional areas. The low entrance height and seven doors per side facilitate an optimal passenger flow and dwell time. The 44.1 m long and 2.4 m wide trams offer capacity for 262 passengers. TRAMLINK is a modern, modular, multi-articulated, light rail vehicle with low flooring through. It feature innovative real-axle bogies that allow for a quiet and comfortable ride and maximum seating capacity over the bogies, without the need for ramps or steps.
