FLIRT Akku 2-car unit for NAH.SH

Designed for non-electrified or partially-electrified routes, the FLIRT Akku is highly versatile. The batteries can be charged during operation via the catenary and also at electrified terminal stations. In addition, the braking energy can be stored in the batteries, allowing the vehicle to be used efficiently and in an energy-saving manner. Reliable availability is also promised by the fact that the manufacturer provides all maintenance and service work for at least 30 years. The vehicle, which is equipped with lithium-ion batteries, is used as a two-car train unit in Schleswig- Holstein. The fully air-conditioned FLIRT Akku for the NAH.SH has bright passenger compartments equipped with passenger WiFi, and also spacious multi-purpose areas offering space for a total of 216 passengers, of which 123 can be seated.
