The Stadler Rail Group is based on a holding structure, with Stadler Rail AG as the parent company and 7 affiliated companies which conduct the operating business. Two years ago, the lone stockholder, Peter Spuhler, decided to gradually give 10% of the stock shares of the Stadler Group to the executives in the form of an employee shareholding plan. In order to keep further options open in the future, Peter Spuhler decided to integrate Capvis as an independent external partner with equity capital, with a 20% share of stock. Capvis is the leading private equity office in Switzerland and has broad and long-term experience in the development of medium-sized companies. Peter Spuhler will continue to lead the Stadler Rail Group operatively as a strong majority shareholder (70%).
