Success in a difficult climate

The EU debt crisis and the strength of the Swiss franc have once again shaped the past year for Stadler Rail. Thanks to high levels of orders received in 2008–2010, turnover in 2012 increased to CHF 2.4 billion, and the workforce rose by 500 compared to the previous year to around 5,000. Orders received in 2012 amounted to just CHF 720 million, considerably below the level of recent years. Many international invitations to tender were cancelled or postponed.

FLIRTing starts in Holland

Abellio orders 20 FLIRT3 multiple-unit trains for the Lower Rhine Network from Stadler

A contract for the delivery of 20 electric multiple-unit trains for the Lower Rhine Network was signed between Stadler Pankow GmbH and Abellio Rail NRW GmbH on 31 May.

Berlin, 13 June 2013. The contract governs the delivery of 13 five-carriage single-system and 7 five-carriage multi-system multiple-unit FLIRT3 trains.

The vehicle fleet will come into service with the new timetable in December 2016 on the Düsseldorf to Emmerich and Wesel to Mönchengladbach lines. There will also be non-stop, cross-border traffic on the route between Emmerich ...

Aeroexpress and Stadler Sign Contract for Delivery of Double-Deck Trains

Russia’s Aeroexpress and the Swiss railway equipment manufacturer Stadler Rail Group have publicly signed a contract for the delivery of double-deck rolling stock in the Moscow City Administration.

BLT bestellt 19 weitere Tango-Trams

Der BLT Verwaltungsrat hat am 27. Mai 2013 das zweite Bestelllos von 19 Tango-Trams ausgelöst. Dies nachdem der Landrat den Generellen Leistungsauftrag 2014 – 2017 für den öffentlichen Verkehr genehmigt hat.

Insgesamt investiert die BLT 94 Millionen Franken in die neuen Tango-Trams. In diesem Preis sind sämtliche Systemkomponenten der Fahrzeuge wie Zugbeeinflussung, Fahrgastinformation, Fahrgastzähleinrichtung, etc. enthalten.
