Linzer Lokalbahn (LILO), Gmunden

The Linzer Lokalbahn (LILO) is a local railway in the surroundings of Linz (Austria). LILO placed an order in the year 1998 for 8 bidirectional GTW 2/6 units for operation on 750 V DC lines. Additionally the first vehicle is equipped with a 15 kV/16.7 Hz system. The EMU are successful since the year 2000 in use. In the year 2003 the option for further 6 vehicles was redeemed, including the re-equipment of all existing vehicles on the bi-current system (15kVAC), so that the operating is possible on the net of the ÖBB to the new station Linz. The technical specifications with 150 kN longitudinal strength, fire safety DIN5510 class 2, allowed the full operating on the ÖBB network.
