Belarusian Railways - Regionaltrain

The Belarusian railways has ordered from Stadler Bussnang AG 6 four-car trains (EMU’s) for the urban and suburban traffic of Minsk with platform height in stations of 550mm and 200mm. Stadler’s FLIRT for Belarus is based on the FLIRT Helsinki, which have been especially designed for the Nordic climatic conditions down to -40°C. The FLIRT Belarus has been adjusted for the Belarusian railways mainly in the following points: train safety system and train radio, additional sliding steps for platform height 200 mm, adaptation to the Belarusian gauge (1520mm), catenary and the Belarusian operating regulations.
