Stadler Polska Sp. z o.o., Poland
The assembly plant of Stadler Polska in Siedlce was set up in 2007 on the site of an old assembly hall rented from the Polish railway company PKP, after Stadler Bussnang AG received its first order from Poland for the delivery of fourteen FLIRT trains for the Mazovia and Silesia provinces (ten for Mazovia and four for Silesia) in June 2006. As a result, all of the fleet ordered by Stadler’s first Polish clients was produced in Siedlce. The official opening of Stadler’s rail vehicle assembly plant in Siedlce took place on 5 September 2007. Vehicles for railway operators from different countries in Europe are now produced in the plant, which employs a highly-qualified staff of approximately 500. As at the end of June 2013, 128 trains have been produced in the Siedlce plant. Current contracts include orders for FLIRT trains for the Italian operator Südtiroler Transportstrukturen AG, German operator Veolia Verkehr Regio GmbH, and GYSEV, operating in Austria and Hungary, as well as broad-gauge FLIRT vehicles for the Estonian Elektriraudtee and Belarusian Railway. 20 FLIRT trains for Łódzka Kolej Aglomeracyjna (Łódź Agglomeration Railways) are also being produced by Stadler Polska in Siedlce. The trains will be delivered to the Polish railway operator between 2014 and 2015.
