Contract signature in Potsdam: Stadler Pankow receives an order for trams

ViP Verkehrsbetrieb Potsdam GmbH signed the contract for the delivery of ten Variobahn trams by Stadler Pankow GmbH today. The order is linked to an option for a further eight vehicles. The low-floor trams will replace the present Tatra type KT4D trams in Potsdam from 2011.The value of the firm order for the vehicles is around €25 million with a further €20 million for the vehicles on option and a total order of around €45 million.

Stadler Rail Group to sponsor Szolnoki Olaj Basketball Team

Stadler Rail Group (Stadler) and Szolnoki Olaj Basketball Team (Szolnoki Olaj KK) have concluded a sponsorship agreement at the City Hall of Szolnok today. The contract has been signed by Peter Spuhler, owner and CEO of Stadler Rail Group and Zoltán Tóth the managing director of Szolnoki Olaj KK, in the presence of Ferenc Szalay, Mayor of Szolnok. As a result of the agreement, Stadler will support the basketball club in its goal to achieve a successful performance as the official sponsor of the team.

New fleet of 30 FLIRTs brings quality change in the public service of several railway lines in Hunga

Stadler Rail Group (Stadler) has started the delivery of the second batch of FLIRT trains to MÁV Start Zrt. (MÁV). Thanks to Stadler’s flexibility, the new trains will arrive to Hungary on the average 2 months earlier than determined in the delivery agreement. The last trains of the new fleet will expectedly enter service in February 2010, which means that by 2010 altogether 60 FLIRT trains will be operating on the Hungarian railways.

Stadler and RhB cooperate in vehicle overhauls

(Chur/Bussnang) The Rhaetian Railway (RhB) and Stadler Rail have agreed to cooperate in the business of vehicle-overhaul and repairs of metre-gauge vehicles. Stadler will have part of the work in the inspection and overhaul carried out by the RhB. Stadler Rail and RhB have already successfully carried out various projects in cooperation in the past.
