STADLER and VIAS start FLIRTing
The 500th FLIRT from the Stadler company will travel along the Rhine from 2010. The contract was signed today at the Innotrans trade fair in Berlin.
Stadler Pankow GmbH has received an order from VIAS for the delivery of 12 four-part and 7 three-part regional trains of the FLIRT model.
The vehicles will be introduced onto the Rheingau sub-network from December 2010 and will run on the Frankfurt – Wiesbaden – Koblenz – Koblenz-Lützel line. The order has a value of approx. Euro 70 million.

The future of Stadler Winterthur
Stadler Rail is building the Winterthur location into the Bogie Competence Centre for the whole Stadler Group. For this reason, Stadler is building a new factory in Oberwinterthur and will be investing at total of almost CHF 28 million in buildings, machinery and equipment.
