For Students

New processes and engineering techniques have allowed multiple unit trains to enjoy greater success, and in some cases even replace locomotive-hauled trains. Pioneers with a passion for technology, theoretical know-how and solid practical experience have brought such innovations to life. If you’re looking for an internship or will soon be graduating, then we'd love to talk to you! In the UK we will be looking to establish a suitable graduate or student placement scheme within the next 24 months.

  • Mechanical engineers create conceptual designs of mechanical components and construct single components or complex assemblies. They work in cross-departmental teams and accompany the vehicle assembly. There are always attractive entry opportunities via internships for mechanical engineers. Advancement opportunities: Subproject leader mechanics, technical project leader.

  • Electrical engineers create conceptual designs and specifications of electrical assemblies. They develop and draw the wiring diagrams for our vehicles. They work in cross-departmental teams and accompany the vehicle assembly. There are always attractive entry opportunities via internships for electrical engineers. Advancement opportunities: Subproject leader electrics, technical project leader.

  • Software engineers specify, encode and test the control software of our vehicles both model-based and directly on the vehicles. They supervise the initial commissioning, accompany vehicle tests all over the world and work in cross-departmental teams. There are always attractive entry opportunities via internships for software engineers.
